Harley Knucklehead engine

Near the end of World War 2, Harley-Davidson® introduced their new engine consisting of an overhead-valve v-twin design with covers on the valves that resembled knuckles, hence the name of "knucklehead". This new motor named the knucklehead, was good for both Harley-Davidson® and for America in this period of motorcycle history.
